Heather Lumsden-Ruegg will be blogging for us during the company's tour of Western Canada.

We made it! Clea, Bengt, Sarah and I left early (5 am) Thursday morning to catch our flight to Calgary. This is my first trip ever to Western Canada and our journey through the mountains completely blew me away! It's incredible how small it can make you feel. Sarah is on watch for mountain lions - I really hope we have some (safe) wildlife experiences sometime during the trip.



We picked up most of the other dancers yesterday at the Vancouver airport and headed over to the Nanaimo ferry. We had a fun time on deck taking photos and learning how to whistle. Other dancers took advantage of the opportunity to nap. Actually, there's been a lot of napping going on...

Now we've settled into the hotel for a couple of nights in a little seaside community called Chemainus. Lots to do in so little time!

Our first show is in Duncan tonight. Hope to see you there!
