A Message from Mara Nickerson

I am very pleased to be taking over as Chair of Ballet Jorgen Canada. This is a very exciting year, being the Company's 25th anniversary and launching Swan Lake. In addition, our hubs in Atlantic Canada, Ottawa and Kitchener/Waterloo are thriving. Our partnership with George Brown College is a cornerstone for the Company and our dance programs at the College have continued to grow. It is so exciting to see the students in the dance program at their various performances and hear about the opportunities that open up to them after graduation. The Company's online presence, on Youtube and Facebook, is wonderful to see and is truly helping the Company fulfill its mission of making ballet more accessible. The Company's unique approach of combining performance, community outreach, and education across Canada is something I am very proud to be a part of.
